The game is set in the year 1957. It has been thirteen years since the Allied soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy came across a zombie. The appearance of the undead who want to devour the whole of humanity forever changed the image of Europe. Most of the inhabitants of the Old Continent died. Few survivors have created a new state - IV Reich, the Holy Empire under the rule of Pope Leo XIV in Italy, technocratic ZAR (Russia) and New Egypt.
The player takes on the role of one of the locals. It must not only deal with the threat of zombies, but also to unravel a complicated plot, which is involved in the most important figures of the Holy Empire.
Developer team Dreampainters priority was to maintain fidelity to the specific climate Sine Requiem. This applies to both the dark plot, in which the player must often make difficult moral choices, as well as the principles of mechanics based on tarot cards.
